The PATHE (Pasifika Achievement to Higher Education) Program

PATHE

In 2017 a new partnership was established with WSU PATHE and Canterbury Boys High. The PATHE program aims to develop aspirations towards further education and training in Pasifika communities through mentoring and university campus visits.

Program workshops focus on:

  • Preparation and planning to achieve success
  • Setting specific goals
  • Prioritising tasks and using checklists
  • Time management to create a better work/life balance
  • Stress management and keeping a healthy mind and body.

Year 9 and 10 students participate in a leadership forum at WSU which includes inspirational guest speakers and students engaging in faculty workshops of their choice.

Year 11 and 12 University workshops include a tour of faculties and facilities, student panel presentation, course exploration and information on pathways to university.
