Our school is involved in a variety of mentoring programs, to inspire both our students and younger students in primary schools to do better and aim higher.
Interview to Impress
The Australian business and community network (ABCN) i2i program equips students with the essential interview skills needed to engage in employment options beyond school. The facilitated sessions build students' understanding of job interview techniques and processes. It also allows students to experience realistic interview scenarios in a corporate environment by working with mentors who are able to provide feedback and advice based on their own job interview experiences.
Our Year 10 students are involved in this program. We would like to thank and acknowledge ABCN and their partners for this opportunity.
For more information about the program, feel free to contact our Career Advisor, Ms Giameos on 02 9798 8444.
First Nations Mentoring
The Settlement Program plays a crucial role in supporting First Nations students by providing tailored mentoring and guidance that fosters their educational journeys. Through this program, dedicated mentors work closely with First Nations students to enhance their academic performance, promote cultural identity, and build strong connections within the school community. By offering personalised support, resources, and encouragement, mentors help students navigate challenges, set and achieve their educational goals, and develop essential life skills. This holistic approach not only empowers First Nations students in their learning but also strengthens their sense of belonging and pride in their culture.
