Mentoring

Our school is involved in a variety of mentoring programs, to inspire both our students and younger students in primary schools to do better and aim higher.

Interview to Impress program

The Australian business and community network (ABCN) i2i program equips students with the essential interview skills needed to engage in employment options beyond school. The facilitated sessions build students' understanding of job interview techniques and processes. It also allows students to experience realistic interview scenarios in a corporate environment by working with mentors who are able to provide feedback and advice based on their own job interview experiences.

Our Year 10 students are involved in this program. Currently, we partner the Commonwealth Bank (CBA). We would like to thank and acknowledge the CBA and ABCN for this opportunity.

For more information about the program, feel free to contact our Career Advisor, Ms Giameos on 02 9798 8444.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mentoring

Each week, our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are invited to Canterbury Public School to participate in a mentoring program with students of Canterbury Girls High School. Work together to mentor and inspire students from Canterbury Public School. This is a great opportunity for students to connect with culture and build relationships.

Primary school mentoring

Our school proudly supports a range of local primary schools with various mentoring programs, which are done throughout the school year. The primary schools involved in the mentoring and coaching programs that is run by Canterbury Boys High School include; Harcourt Public School, Canterbury Public School and Canterbury South Public School.

If you would like any additional information on the mentoring programs offered at our school, please contact the Principal, Ms Giudice on 02 9798 8444.
