The University of New South Wales - ASPIRE Program

Year 7 to 12 University Readiness program
CBHS is one of 54 schools in NSW that the University of NSW directly support. The ASPIRE program encourages all students from an early age to have an aspiration for their future: to dream big, set a goal and work to achieve it. For those students who discover that they have the desire and the capability to succeed at university, we work with their school and community to help get them there.
Information on the ASPIRE program can be found at: http://www.aspire.unsw.edu.au/
We are one of 27 Metro ASPIRE schools. In 2017 the ASPIRE metro team will again focus on Years 7-12, facilitating in-school workshops, on-campus events for Years 8-10 and a range of academic enrichment programs across year groups and interest areas.
Our community have benefitted from the ASPIRE program over a number of years. There has been a steady increase in the number of students attending UNSW and tertiary study overall.
How does this partnership benefit our community?

ASPIRE University staff and UNSW ambassadors proudly attend CBHS to implement student workshops. They too attend CBHS events such as our Open Day (Feb 25) and Beyond Year 10 Subject Selection evening. This is greatly valued by students, parents and CBHS staff
To read about the impact of ASPIRE, UNSW have prepared a 2016 Partner School Review (pdf 2924 KB).
