We welcome Year 7 2018 to the Primary to High School Orientation Day

Canterbury Boys High School will be holding the Orientation Day for Year 7 2018 students on Tuesday 5th December 2017.

We welcome incoming students and families to the CBHS Orientation Day on 5 December 2017. Students are required to wear their primary school uniform and parents/carers are responsible for the transport of their child to and from the school.

Parents/carers are invited to attend the start of the day with their child, which will begin in the school library at 9:30am. We will have presentations from the Principal (Ms Belinda Giudice), School Captains (William Dousha and Judah Thedor) and Year Advisor (Ms Nectaria Melas). Students will then be sorted into their mixed primary school groups, participate in a range of lessons and activities, and have a school tour.

Parents/carers are welcome to attend the morning's formal presentation. We invite you to enjoy a tea/coffee in the library at the conclusion of the morning's presentation to meet and greet with the Principal and Deputy Principals. We will also take any interested parents on a "School In Action" tour.

You will have the opportunity to pay school subject fees, buy the book pack and calculator. We will have an area set up for cash payments, and EFTPOS facilities will be available. We can also assist with Opal Card applications.

Our uniform can be purchased from Lowes at Campsie Centre (Amy Street, Campsie). Students will need to purchase full school uniform prior to beginning the 2018 academic year. We can advise what is needed on this day. Please speak to the Principal if you need support for uniform purchases.

We will provide students with morning tea (piece of fruit) and a BBQ lunch at no extra cost. We do advise that students bring their own water and snacks. If your child has certain dietary requirements, please advise the school in advance, otherwise they will need to bring their own lunch.

I look forward to seeing you at what will be a valuable and exciting day for Year 7 2018 students.

Ms Belinda Giudice

Principal
