Enrichment program

We are pleased to offer your son the opportunity to apply for a place in the Canterbury Boys High School Enrichment Program for 2026.

At Canterbury Boys High School, we have a program designed to cater to the needs of boys with high potential through a targeted enrichment class.

Our program provides an enriched environment with stimulating challenges and opportunities for our boys to maximise their academic potential.  The enrichment program is facilitated by a team of teachers who will develop differentiated cross curricular teaching programs individualised to meet your son’s needs. Ongoing enrolment in the program will be based on students consistently meeting high standards.

Enrichment Test

There was an enrichment test, at a cost of $50, held on Wednesday 17rd September 2025 9:30AM at Canterbury Boys High School.

Interview and Portfolio

Following the successful completion of the enrichment test your son will be invited for an interview at the school. At that interview his test results will be discussed and his overall suitability for the program reviewed. Your son will submit a portfolio outlining his academic achievements and examples of his leadership at school and in the community at this interview.

Advanced Learning Pathways for High Achievers (ALPHA) Program

The ALPHA Program continues the school's enrichment focus into Stage 6 (Years 11 and 12). It extends senior students' depth and breadth of thinking by developing an excellent work ethic and by challenging them with new ideas and practices.

The program focuses on students developing skills, behaviours and attitudes that will lead to HSC success and maximise their academic potential.
